Art lessons in The ArtRoom help children build cognitive skills including concept development, problem solving, language, history, measurement, critical thinking, fine development and many other skills that can contribute to success in school. Kids will tap into their imagination to express their own ideas as they experiment and create unique works of art. They will develop confidence as their creativity soars!

Some classes have age requirements.

Incoming high schoolers can also enroll in camps for older ages.
Each half-day camp is $130. No registration fees.

JUNE
ART CAMP

Drawing, painting, mixed media, and sculpture in one week.

RECYCLED ART CAMP

June 6 – 9      1P-4P             (grades K-8)
Trash to treasure? Learn to look at trash in a new and inventive way. We're making bowls, to bottle cap art, to paper mache creatures.

CHEF'S WEEK SCULPTURE CAMP   

June 13-16      9A-12P        (grades K-8)
We're cooking up yummy food but not in a kitchen! Drawing, painting, sculptures, and more and all about food.

PAPER FANTASTIC CAMP   

June 13 – 16      1P-4P            (grades 2-8)
This is not your ordinary paper craft camp, and will challenge, inspire, and turn your creativity on full blast!

MIXED MEDIA CAMP   

June 20-23      9A-12P             (grades K-8)
Inspiration in art can be found anywhere, and can be created with just about anything. Assemblage, collage, found-object art are some of the things we will be working on. Hands on and fun!

HOW TO DRAW CAMP   

June 20-23      1P-4P              (grades K-8)
Anyone can draw. We will explore different drawing styles and learning how to draw people, animals, and objects.

JULY
CARDBOARD CREATIONS CAMP

What can we make out of cardboard? Lots of things! A little paper engineering, a lot of imagination.

BOOKMAKER CAMP

July 11-14      1P-4P             (grades 3-8)
Be an author and artist. Write a story, draw it, then produce your own book to share with family. We will produce two types of books.

ARTSY CRAFTY CAMP

July 18-21      9A-12P            (grades K-8)
Create funny animal crafts from spotty snakes to UFOs and robots.

MIXED MEDIA CAMP

July 18-21      1P-4P               (grades K-8)
Same camp as in June, but with different projects. So many materials to make art with, we have to do this again!

OUT-OF-THE-BOX CAMP

July 25-28      9A-12P             (grades 3-8)
What can we do with a box? Games, robots, and more! Kids will need to bring in 2 boxes for this camp.

ART CAMP

July 25-28      1P-4P              (grades K-8)
Drawing, painting, mixed media, and sculpture in one week. Different projects than the June camp, of course!

Registration and General Information

  • Submit registration form and payment to officially enroll your child(ren) and ensure a place in the class.

  • Tuition includes all materials and supplies, a portfolio, and sketchbook/interactive student notebook, smock, and one snack (pre-packaged bag of goldfish or pretzels). Kids should bring a no-spill water bottle.

  • Payment may be made by mailing check or via Venmo (Friends & Family).

  • Please note that the mailing address is different from the studio location. You will be emailed class confirmation and studio location once we receive your registration (studio is located near Cullen/Hughes Ranch Road).

  • Notification of withdrawl from a class must be made no less than seven (7) days prior to class start date. A $30 fee will be charged for all refunds. Refunds will be given up to seven (7) days prior to class start date. No refunds will be given thereafter.

  • 
There are no credits or refunds for missed classes, but we may be able to offer you a makeup class in another session, based on availability. Tuition cannot be transferred to another month if you miss a class. If classes are cancelled due to inclement weather, we will provide a makeup class. When minimum enrollment is not met, the paid and registered students will be notified prior to the beginning of the class and the fee will be refunded if placement in another session cannot be accommodated.

  • 
Students must be on time to class, as we will start promptly. Make sure your young artist has eaten and used the restroom prior to drop-off to keep interruptions to a minimum.
    PLEASE NOTE:

  • PreKindergarten students MUST be completely toilet trained upon enrolling.

    COVID SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

  • Due to COVID we have cut class numbers to half and can only accept a maximum of six students per session.

  • All supplies, surfaces, and touchpoints will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer will be readily available.

  • Class size is minimized that each student can now work with more table space. Students will be  in charge of their own set of supplies for the session and will be assigned a cubby to store their items.

  • Each student may have their temperature taken before entering the studio. Please do not send your child if they have a high fever, cough, excessive sneezing, cold sweats, vomiting, nausea, etc.

  • The ArtRoom will provide an art smock, to be used by one child for the week. Parents may choose to provide their own.

  • Face masks are optional. We will have face masks available if a student prefers to wear one.

  • To minimize foot traffic in the studio, only students are allowed inside the studio. Please drop off and pick up outside the studio.
